The Sertig Valley, our home...
 

We have been living in the Sertig Valley since 1992. We took over what was then the Sertig Spa House as tenants. In 1995 we were able to purchase the old property and in 1999 we built our dream house, the Walserhuus Sertig. We love being hosts, adore this unparalleled location and are very mindful of the beauty of this oasis.

Our children, Christian and Nadja describe themselves and us as follows:

"Hello, I’m Christian. I was born on 22nd March 1996. My hobbies are Swiss wrestling, football, floorball and the Hockey Club Davos! I go to school in Frauenkirch and I’m in 6^th grade. My dream job is that of a chef. My father is also a chef. I go to Schwinger (Swiss wrestling) training once a week and I’ve already won the Appenzell Kantonale 08, the Youth Wrestling Day 07 in Davos, the Plantahofschwinget 07 and the Sertigschwinget 06!
I already have 3 bells and 7 branches (wrestling prizes) and am proud of every one of them. They are hanging in the restaurant – just stop by some time and have a look at them.”

"I’m Nadja and I was born on 4th December 1997. My hobbies are riding and making handicrafts. In summer, we have so many animals. There are rabbits with lop ears, big and small miniature goats, ducks and hens with chicks. The animals we keep are very important to me. I think it’s really beautiful here in Sertig. I am in the 5^th grade at school in Frauenkirch.”

"Annalies, our mum, does our homework with us every day because she says it’s important. She works a lot in the office, makes lovely decorations and wants all our guests to feel at home here.”

"Joos, our dad, cooks for our guests. He goes hunting in September to make sure there’s a really fine game buffet. We kids look forward the whole year to the lovely autumn time.”
